15-23.05.2024 Former Fornace Gola Towpath Naviglio Pavese 16, Milan On the occasion of World Oceans Day (8.06.2024) and the sad anniversary of the explosion of the Khahovka hydroelectric power plant (6.06.2023) Vitaworld and the Women's Forum Italy-Ukraine present: Living Water? 2024, the fourth edition of the Art Ocean's Day format which brings together artists, representatives of the world of entertainment, activists, volunteers, young people and very young people for an event - action aimed at raising public awareness of the plastic pollution that characterizes ocean waters and on war crimes that lead to environmental and, subsequently, humanitarian catastrophes. Project history: June 8 is World Oceans Day. The United Nations has proclaimed the Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030) with the primary objective of supporting countries in achieving of Objective 14 of the 2030 Agenda: to conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development. To involve more and more people in supporting the water resources of our planet, the Vitaworld association in partnership with Let's Do It Italy and Let's Do It Ukraine launches the Art Ocean's Day format with the first edition in 2019: Art Performance at the Fabbrica del Vapore. From 3.00pm Art Performance - creation of the work of art live with the participation of all those present. 05.23.2024 VIVA Water Conference? The initiative includes: Contemporary art exhibition. Exhibition of children's and teenagers' drawings. Cleaning action Alzaia Naviglio. Workshop - creation of the themed artwork. Living Water Conference? with activists and entities involved in immediate relief, support and help for the population and the environment, the analysis of short and long-term consequences.
